alt_text

With this blog post, we're looking back at an incredible journey of constant evolution propelled by advancements in AI technology over the last year ๐Ÿ˜ต

If you want to read more about our gained insights and learnings, or if you are in a similar situation, this summary of our last months is for you ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐ŸŽค Meta's MMS:

Imagine an AI model that's like a hyper-polyglot, able to understand 4,000 spoken languages and spit out responses in over 1,100 of them. Meta is working on realizing this with their Massively Multilingual Speech (MMS) project. They're open-sourcing MMS to help save endangered languages and allow others to build on their work.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Meta's ImageBind:

If you thought AI just played with words and images, think again. ImageBind pushes the boundaries by linking text, visuals, and audio with 3D measurements, temperature data, and motion data.

As a human, you take in the sights, sounds, and other sensory experiences around you, using them to make sense of the world. And ImageBind is attempting to do something similar, but with AI. It takes in chunks of data and uses them to generate fully realized scenes.

๐Ÿ“œ Meta might be launching its Twitter competitor soon

alt_text

Meta is developing a new social media app, referred to as "Barcelona", that aims to compete with Twitter. The app, designed under the Instagram brand, will allow users to post text-based updates, similar to Twitter, but with an interface closely resembling Instagram's. In addition to text, users can attach photos, videos, and links to their posts ๐Ÿคณ

One key advantage Meta possesses is its vast user base, with Instagram boasting over 1 billion users compared to Twitter's roughly 400 million. With the ability to join the new app without needing to create a new account, Meta's entry into the Twitter-like social media space may gain traction swiftly, depending on user reception to the platformโ€‹ ๐Ÿค”
