🎮 Otherside's first trip

Thousands of people joined the first tech demo, First Trip, by BAYC and their virtual world Otherside. It was a trippy experience that was only open for holders of Otherdeeds (land-plots in said world).

Together with a giant Ape, the users had to complete a quest and fight a massive evil Koda. This is one of those moments where the explanation cannot do justice to the event. It was epic, you'll just have to take our word for it at this point.

For those unable to attend the demo in person, a token-gated Livestream was broadcasted. Again it was only available to Otherdeed holders, and watching the stream also counted as participation! Which turned out to be quite important, as everyone who participated received an update to the metadata for their Otherdeed!

Earlier this month Mark Zuckerberg announced that Instagram is implementing a feature that lets you purchase products from small businesses via direct messages 💸

As is often the case, the feature will only be available in the US for the time being. If and when it will also be activated in your region remains to be seen.
