Chatbots are crossing our ways on a daily basis. Every time you visit a website and a chat opens up asking you "How can I help you"  or whenever you talk to your Alexa or Siri... Yep, hello Mister or Misses chatbot 🗣️

In her first guest article,  AI Researcher Athena Vassilopoulos takes you on a journey through the history of chatbots. Because there's more to chatbots than you probably realize 😮

🎾 Australian-Open NFT case study

alt_text

Why include this NFT project in this newsletter?
The project launched by the Australian Open is an excellent case study from a conventional brand that is looking for new ways to enter the web3 space.

It is a great example of how you can gamify NFT's to gain the attention of a new audience and merge fields that don't seem to be connectable on paper.

*This is not at all buying advice*

What is so unique about this project?

The base of the project is 6776 different NFT tennis balls.
Every one of those balls represents one designated spot on the tennis court surface.

For each winning shot, of any of the over 400 AO tennis matches during this event, NFT holders will be awarded winning footage, merch, and limited edition wearables if they own this specific spot 🎾

And if one of the 11 championship points was achieved on your spot, you will be able to claim and receive the original championship tennis ball from the match.

🐤 Twitter launches PFP verification

alt_text

Proof of ownership is a very important topic in the NFT and crypto space.
Especially when it comes to art and community projects since many early adopters use the acquired art as PFP (profile pictures) on Social Media platforms 🖼️

But how would other users know if you actually are the owner of the underlying token, or if you simply stole the image and display it?

This is where Twitter's "PFP NFT verification" comes into play. From now on, you will be able to connect your crypto wallet and visibly verify your NFT profile picture on your Twitter profile.

Keep in mind, that this feature will only be available to Twitter Blue subscribers. And look out for other platforms that will follow very soon  ☑️

🤳 Instagram testing fan subscriptions

alt_text

Looks like Instagram is the next platform to finally realize that they have to offer creators and influencers a direct way to monetize their audience on the platform itself.

We have to see if this adjustment and shift of mindset is coming too late though. Platforms like Instagram and Facebook (or Meta if you want) have lost a lot of their appeal among creators due to the lack of those features 😬

🧠 AI2 reveals Q&A focused GPT3 rival

alt_text

As a loyal newsletter and blog reader, you might remember that we mentioned OpenAI's GPT3 a couple of times already. GPT3 is an autoregressive language model that uses deep learning to write human-like texts 🤓

Now AI2 has revealed an AI that performs as well or maybe even better than GPT3 at answering questions. There is obviously way more to all of this, but for chatbot development and capabilities, this technology is of immeasurable value 🤑

📱 TikTok instant page

alt_text

Sending users from your feed to a landing page is always a kind of risky endeavor. If your page isn’t loading quick enough, people often just move on immediately 🙅‍️
This means that you have not generated any conversion and lost the user on the platform itself.

To smoothen the customer journey on TikTok, they decided to implement a native landing page within the app itself. You will be able to place videos, pictures, and even swipe-through-carousel and clickable buttons on the pages
