Before I saw that you had to get an adapter to allow your earlier iphone to charge as well as interface with a USB microphone. Now that is a bit different. If you have a USB C to USB C cable and USB C mic you can just connect them directly. If you have another USB format you can get a USB A to to USB C adapter.
